Spain has always been one of our favourite destinations as the crowds there are AMAZING and with Sonar and Benicassim on the summer schedule, as well as many nights in Ibiza, MJC and the team will definitely be getting our fix.
At the airports in Spain, we’ve been known to thumb through a copy or two of Vicious magazine in our time and this month’s ‘Femme Fatale’ edition sees Maya grace the cover.
See you soon Spain – we CAN’T wait!

In a week that saw Maya playing on line-ups alongisde the likes of Heidi, Miss Kittin, Ellen Allien, Solomun, Maceoplex, Vision Quest, Magda, Soul Clap and many more besides; Miami couldn’t really have got any better. From Hypercolour to Jackathon to Ultra to Last Resort every member of the crowd really seemed to give something back.
Beatport’s staff was also in the giving mood and when we returned to London they had named Maya their ‘Beatport Award Staff Pick Artist of 2011′.
Knowing how much music the guys and gals over at Beatport must hear made this truly special and as ever Maya and the rest of us are truly humbled.
Thank you Miami and thank you Beatport. Let’s do it all again next year!

Team MJC kind of had the perfect start to the Winter Music Conference. Very jet lagged after a 26 hour series of flights from Japan to Miami and a long shower later – it was the IDMA Awards 2012 held at the conference centre. Miss Kittin presented the first award of the night which went to Maya!
The award is for best house/garage/deep house track 2011 – and was voted for by real people i.e. you
So just wanted to share the love and say thank you to everyone who took the time out of their lives to vote for Maya. As always it is most humbly appreciated.
Thank you
